The search for stories continues. This time in refugee asylums across the country.

Introducing: Nurullah Akcan

Nurullah Akcan (Thori) is a Kurdish man who was born and raised in Turkey. Due to the discrimination he faced as a Kurd, Thori was forced to flee his homeland and seek refuge in the Netherlands. He currently resides in the town of Goes in the province of Zeeland.

During his time in the Netherlands, Thori has had the opportunity to meet and connect with a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and cultures. He has found inspiration and hope in the kindness and generosity of the people he has encountered, and he believes that these experiences are a testament to the power of compassion and empathy.

Thori is a graduate of Marmara University in Turkey, where he studied various fields related to his profession. He has worked in a number of different departments and roles over the years, gaining valuable experience and skills along the way. In recent years, Thori has focused on photography and videography, using his creativity and artistry to capture and document the world around him.

Looking to the future, Thori is excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. He hopes to continue pursuing his passion for photography and videography, using his skills and talents to tell compelling stories and inspire others. He is also eager to work with De Niemanders, a group that he believes shares his values of compassion, diversity, and inclusivity.
